It all started in my home country, Hungary. Fishing has been a big and important part of my life since I learned to walk. I could not live without angling. It all comes from my beloved Dad who infected me very early and taught me a lot. He is now a real pro at carp fishing with feeder method. I started with a smaller rod without a reel and the method was float fishing for lion, roach, rudd, small perch and bream. Then I had to use a rod with a small reel and when I got bigger I caught my first carp and nice rudd. We fished a lot with bottom bait for carp. When I was 10-12 years old, Dad started to focus on zander, this beautiful, mythical, elusive, sometimes fussy and cautious fish. The zander became my favorite fish right away and I was always excited when Dad and I started preparing for the evening and night fishing for zander. Spinning became our favorite method. We caught nice pikeperch, pike and sometimes catfish as bonus fish. I moved to Sweden in 2008, since then I have lived here with a 2 year break. I fell in love with Sweden's beautiful lakes and rivers which give us anglers endless opportunities. In Sweden, I soon became interested in pelagic vertical fishing, which I have been doing since 2013. It was a wonderful journey: learning how to use sonar and watching Björn Tunmat's amazing movies on Youtube when I was home. Björn was my biggest motivation from the beginning, he has taught me a lot through his movies and later personally as well. I fish 90-95% of my time for pikeperch, the rest of the time I fish for sea trout, pike and perch. I started fishing from a kayak in 2019. The motivation was that I wanted to try this Swedish method (vertical fishing) at home in Lake Balaton where you are not allowed to use a gasoline engine. Kayak with pedal system seemed to be a good idea. So I bought a kayak and I moved it to Hungary. Then in connection with kayak fishing I met Tommy Blomander who became a great champion, role model (and not only for fishing) and good friend to me. Despite a lot of frustration and failure in the beginning in Hungary, I still got stuck in kayak fishing and I bought my second kayak for fishing in Sweden and it was a wonderful debut with a pikeperch over 7 kg in Dalälven in January 2020. Then I managed to achieve a breakthrough in Lake Balaton also with updating my previous PB. I still have my boat because it is also important and fun to be able to fish in the company of friends or Dad, but otherwise I prefer kayak fishing every day of the week...
